ARCHITECTURAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Job Description:

Elevator Interior Design (EID) is a local Design/Build elevator cab manufacturing company on the North Shore of Boston servicing the Northeast Architectural and Construction community. EID designs and manufactures custom and standard elevator cabs and unique interior fit-out packages for commercial, residential, and institutional buildings. The EID facility includes over 35,000 square feet of manufacturing space solely designated for the production of unique elevator products for the Boston, New York, and Washington D.C markets as well as a showroom. 

We are seeking an experienced & performance-driven sales professional in the Boston area to focus on our entire line of elevator interior products and finishes and strengthen relationships with local and national architectural firms. 

Along with superb sales skills including successful lead generating abilities, the ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Strong, experience-based understanding of the A&D community and proven success in working with architects, designers, contractors, architects, facility owners, and property managers. 

  • Successfully bid and secure new construction and modernization elevator projects and develop / maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers. 

  • Must have architectural product sales experience selling to the Architectural community and strong contacts in the local A&D community. The ability to read blueprints and specifications, is a must to be considered for the position.

  • The ability to craft technical, "substitution-proof" EID Based specifications and follow them throughout the bidding and ordering cycle.

  • In-depth knowledge of specifiers' needs, requirements, and concerns, and the ability to offer creative solutions to their challenges.

  • The ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communications and organizational skills, along with the ability to fully utilize our CRM software and other technologies.

  • Enjoy working in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment, and engaging team members throughout the organization - Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Design - to accomplish a common goal.

  • The ideal candidate will be a graduate of Architecture / Design (or related) and have some specific technical Architectural or related experience before transitioning into a sales role calling on end-users in the A&D community.

  • The position requires up to 25% travel

Compensation: Salary commensurate upon experience.
